The Frenchman won his first Grand Slam in mixed doubles, alongside the German, on Thursday. They won in two sets (6-4, 7-5).

Edouard Roger-Vasselin and Laura Siegemund won the mixed doubles final, on the Philippe-Chatrier court, Thursday June 6. The Franco-German pair disposed of the American Desirae Krawczyk and Briton Neal Skupski in two sets (6-4, 7-5). With this trophy, the Frenchman won his first Grand Slam in mixed doubles.

Edouard Roger-Vasselin and Laura Siegemund were of course very happy after their victory in the mixed doubles final, they who had never played together before this tournament and who decided only 2 hours before their registration.

Already winner of the French Open in men’s doubles with his compatriot Julien Benneteau in 2014, Edouard Roger-Vasselin adds a title to his list of achievements. Retired from singles, the 40-year-old has now devoted himself to doubles since 2016.
