Édouard Philippe is suspected of embezzlement of public funds, illegal taking of interest and favoritism by the national financial prosecutor’s office.
Expected to be the majority candidate in 2027
“It’s a market story between the town hall and an association, to create the digital house in Le Havre”, indicates Tugdual Denis. Édouard Philippe would weave his web for the 2027 presidential election. “It appears to be an old-fashioned method of doing politics (…) It’s a long-term strategy”, he elaborates. He is expected to be the majority candidate in 2027, but Gabriel Attal and Gérald Darmanin are also considered. “It’s going to be the political family where there will be the biggest match in 2027”concludes Tugdual Denis.
