EDF will soon shut down three additional nuclear reactors in order to carry out “controls” due to suspected corrosion issues. According to a brief statement from the group, “EDF adjusts its 2022 nuclear production estimate to 295-315 TWh, against 300-330 TWh”, “as part of its control program on the nuclear fleet”. The energy company initially aimed for a production of 330 to 360 TWh in 2022.
