It’s been 5 years since Johnny Hallyday is gone. It was in his sumptuous residence in Marnes-la-Coquette that the rocker died on December 5, 2017. After tributes worthy of his legend, the happy father of four children was buried in Saint-Barthélemy. Unfortunately, his clan imploded after his will was opened. A case that continues to make a lot of ink flow.
To this day, some of his relatives continue to pay tribute to him in the media. Like the photographer Tony Franck. He hopes to seduce the singer’s fans with his book Johnny Hallyday: the Tony Franck years. The latter has long rubbed shoulders with the Taulier. But also his former acolytes like Jacques Dutronc and Eddy Mitchell. The “ old scoundrels » have unleashed passions with their countless concerts. Together, they made the 400 blows. “As I started with them, they thought I was the most legitimate to take pictures”, explained Tony Franck for Point of view.
“Eddy was crazy!”
During rehearsals… PAF: “The magic was working”. “What was funny is that Jacques Dutronc arrived early, Eddy Mitchell on time, and Johnny Hallyday inevitably late. Eddy was mad! He repeated: ‘We’re fed up with the Belgian’, added the artist not without humor. Also having a strong character, the interpreter of “No boogie woogie”, often argued with Johnny Hallyday.

Gene Vincent, Bill Haley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard are therefore part of the party. A few hours later, when I decide to return, I want to recover the famous vinyls. And there, nothing more, no matter how much I look for them everywhere, they remain untraceable ». Obviously, Johnny Hallyday had been there…
“Very upset, I run down the stairs of the building, thinking maybe I saw my thief running. Arrived at the bottom, I see a fanatic discussing with the concierge » entrusted the husband of Muriel Bailleul. “The fanatic” in question was none other than Johnny Hallyday: “He hands me my records, saying: ‘Could you keep them for me? I’ll pick them up tomorrow.’ Immediately, I throw myself on my belongings and slap (well-deserved) the pilferer […]. Despite his act of disbelief, he has pretty good taste. So I start a conversation with this shy and apparently embarrassed young man by the name of Jean-Philippe Smet ». The rest, you know it…
