Saturday May 27, 2023, the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival ended with a sensational speech. Palme d’Or winner, Justine Triet, director and screenwriter of the film Anatomy of a fall, attacked the government at the time of his coronation. “This dispute historicalextremely powerful, unanimous on pension reform was shockingly denied and suppressed. And this pattern of increasingly uninhibited dominating power is erupting in several areas.” she said. “The commodification of culture that the neoliberal government defends is in the process of breaking the French cultural exception. This same cultural exception without which I would not be here today, in front of you”.
