Ed Sheeran gets very vocal when it comes to talking about his close friendship with American superstar Taylor Swift.
Guest on Zane Lowe’s podcast on Apple Music alongside the launch of his new album Subtrack Last week, the British musician raved about singer Taylor Swift, who he’s been good friends with for more than a decade.
Same insecurities
“We have the same insecurities,” says the 32-year-old artist who manages to stay in touch with his accomplice despite their numerous respective projects.
“I have long, long, long conversations with Taylor about things just because I feel like she’s one of the only people who actually understands where I’m at. It is fundamentally in the same sphere,” he confides.
The musician, who has just won his lawsuit for plagiarism (he was accused of having plagiarized the song Let’s Get It On of Marvin Gaye to create his piece Thinking Out Loud), recently compared, according to the magazine Peoplehis great discussions with the 33-year-old singer at therapies.
The latter would have also played the cupids so that he finds the woman who became his wife, Cherry Seaborn, after years of failed relationships. The singer-songwriter also reportedly encouraged her friend to work with her director, Aaron Dessner.
Collaborations

He would have telephoned her and this led to a first collaboration with the play Everything Has Changed which is on the album Red by Taylor Swift.
Over the years, Sheeran and Swift have been photographed dozens of times together in public and have taken part in numerous creative and musical endeavors. For example, at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show in 2014, in the clip for End Game in 2018 or on the song Run in 2021.
During award speeches, galas or on social networks, the two artists take every opportunity to declare their affection in front of the whole world.
