A large six-course brunch will be served at Jean-Talon Market on Sunday, July 16. This is an initiative of Mange ton Saint-Laurent, in collaboration with the Montreal Office of Gastronomy.
The collective, whose spokesperson is Colombe St-Pierre, aims to help Quebecers discover and appreciate the edible resources of the St. Lawrence River, estuary and Gulf, in order to slow down the exodus of our resources the stranger.
Several chefs take part in this great feast of exceptionally fresh shellfish, seaweed, molluscs and fish, including David Gauthier (Bar Saint-Denis), Paul Harry Toussaint (Kamúy), Mehdi Brunet-Benkritly and Alex Dunberry-Perron (Marconi) and the all-female Ratafia kitchen team.
There will be three tables during the day (10 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.). At $110 for two people (taxes not included), it’s not much to pay for a meal of this magnitude.
Tickets can be purchased on the Montreal Public Markets website.
