Estrie

This is the first year that Cowansville has organized an Easter market. For the occasion, the city of Estrie invited several producers from the region, including the Domaine du petit bonheur, the Gosselin Fumoirs, the bakery La mie bretonne, Once upon a time a maple grove, the microbrewery Le sage brasseur, as well than several others (Conserve, L’archipel, etc.). There will also be activities for the little ones, including a mini-farm with all kinds of animals that children can feed, a make-up artist and Coco Rabbit, the market mascot. In case of rain, the event will be postponed to the following day.

Val-David will also hold its Easter market on Saturday at the village church. Since it’s also sugaring off time, you’ll find an Érablière Varin kiosk outside the entrance.

Montreal

Montrealers’ favorite public markets — Jean-Talon, Atwater, Maisonneuve… — will be open throughout the Easter weekend. Note, however, that the gourmet market Time Out Market, in the heart of downtown, will offer special activities for the family on Saturday. Children can learn about tattoos airbrush (with airbrush), and enjoy the presence of a make-up artist, a clown, a magician and balloons in the shape of animals. An Easter bunny will also distribute chocolates. Note also the presence of musical artists. The resort’s restaurants will also be offering an Easter brunch.
