Easter: ring the bells, we will all be resurrected!

For Christians, Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

At school, we were taught that the resurrection meant that Jesus had returned from the dead.

Eh? He died and came back?

Tortured, nailed to a wooden cross, died in excruciating suffering, carried to the tomb and three days later…

He is resurrected!

As happy ending we have never done better

From then on, the idea of our own resurrection was born.

We too will be reborn!

But not here on earth, we will find ourselves on the other side… Or rather up…

So high that we won’t be able to come back down like Jesus.

This is why we have never seen a dead person reappear!

They are propelled into a galaxy… Very far from home: paradise.

There, they find all those who preceded them and who led a good life.

These rise to heaven!

The awful and the wicked are thrown into the abyss and burn in the flames: hell.

On the other hand, the less worst can stay for a while on the purgatory floor and work to buy a place in paradise.

Housing crisis in paradise!

It’s still hard for me to imagine how we could all fit up there.

We should no longer have bodies, but all these souls that have been piling up for millennia…

It counts!

Dear angels, you who surely hold the keys to this logistical enigma, inspire our leaders!

Let’s celebrate Easter!

If like Jesus we don’t really die, there is reason to rejoice, right?

It doesn’t matter whether we believe this beautiful story or not, let’s run and hunt for eggs!

Easter marks renewal, spring, flowers, pretty chocolate coconuts and rabbits…

But why the hell is the rabbit hiding the eggs?

What is he doing in there?

Happy Easter!

Let’s welcome spring, let’s forget for a few hours the misfortunes of the world.
