A few days from Easter, their Marseille chocolate factory sees parade its regulars. “It’s all made on site, so there are no surprises, in fact”enthused a customer. In their shop, chocolate is made in a new way to from the cocoa bean from Colombia, Mexico or Peru. Five years ago, the young couple knew nothing about the world of chocolate.
This passion for cocoa beans, Claire and Aurélien discovered it during a trip to Colombia in 2017. “Our whole trip revolved around cocoa, we visited plantations, we were in a research center, we worked in an American company that made chocolate (…). When we returned to France, the objective was to share again what we had experienced“, says Claire. The young entrepreneurs invested 300,000 euros in machines to start their business. Their chocolate is matured for three days, a rare method in France. Lhe couple, who like to share with the public, also organize educational workshops.
