Earthquake in Morocco | Jamel Debbouze donates blood in Marrakech





(Marrakech) Franco-Moroccan comedian Jamel Debbouze donated blood on Monday for the benefit of those injured in the earthquake in Morocco, during a visit to Marrakech, where he created an international humor festival in 2011.


“I am very moved to be here. We had the opportunity to see all this solidarity. She is incredible, you have to film her. It must be transmitted. We need to see how much Moroccans show solidarity with each other,” he told AFP as he left a blood transfusion center.

The violent earthquake which struck a region southwest of the tourist city of Marrakech on Friday rose to more than 2,400 deaths, according to the latest official provisional report published Monday.

“Terrible night, terrible awakening”, reacted after the earthquake on social networks Jamel Debbouze, who created the “Marrakech du laughter” festival in 2011.
