After a Catalan mosaic training, Dany Pongy began to create first for his personal use. Then the idea of sharing this passion gained ground … His first exhibition took place at the Leucate Cultural Center in 2003, then followed fairs, exhibitions in Toulouse and the agglomeration and in Roussillon.
Very inspired by Gaudi, in her beginnings, then Hundertwasser, color led her to mosaic. She works all the supports (wood, earth, metal …) and materials (tiles, enamels, pearls …). She likes to work with mixed techniques (paintings, mosaic, collage) which highlight the mosaic.
For 10 years, she has been doing clay modeling and sculpture. She likes to combine earth and mosaic and thus dress and illuminate her sculptures with colored enamels, but she also works with mosaic or ceramics separately.
Loving to share his passion, Dany Pongy also offers internships in his workshop.
Dany Pongy will be present at the Creators’ Weekend on December 3, 4 and 5 at the Voiles Rouges in Canet-en-Roussillon.
