The Dutchman won his sixth stage victory in a Tour de France on Thursday. The yellow jersey, however, was not troubled.

Dylan Groenewegen was the strongest. The Dutchman won the sprint during the 6th stage of the Tour de France between Mâcon and Dijon, Thursday, July 4. The Dutch champion was faster than Jasper Philipsen, who was eventually demoted, and the green jersey Biniam Girmay. Colombian Fernando Gaviria completed the podium. In a very peaceful day, with only one fourth-category climb at the start of the stage, the peloton dictated its law.

The breakaway, made up of only two riders including the polka dot jersey Jonas Abrahamsen, was short-lived. Caught after 28 kilometres of escape, no other breakaway tried their luck again. Despite a few echelons, everyone was able to rejoin the peloton after a few kilometres. Tadej Pogacar keeps his yellow jersey before Friday’s time trial between Nuits Saint-Georges and Gevrey-Chambertin.
