A not very smart young motorist was arrested after posting videos on social networks of him drinking alcohol while driving overnight from Thursday to Friday, in Saguenay.
It was citizens who saw the videos that denounced the 20-year-old young man to the police, in the evening, explains the lieutenant of the Saguenay police department, Jean-Michel Bergeron.
The driver was finally arrested on Price Street, in the Kénogami sector, in Jonquière.
Asked to give a breath sample, he failed the breathalyzer test. The 20-year-old driver had more than double the legal blood alcohol limit.
Refusal to provide a sample
Another 46-year-old man was intercepted by the authorities in the evening in the Talbot boulevard sector, in Chicoutimi.
Again, it was public denunciations that led to his arrest, when he was impaired.
“Once at the police station, however, he refused to comply with the order to provide a breath sample. He will have an additional charge that will be submitted to the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions, ”says Mr. Bergeron.
