(Drummondville) A 17-year-old driver died after a collision with a lamp post in Drummondville, Center-du-Québec, on Sunday evening.
The accident occurred shortly before 7:00 p.m. on Highway 20 West when the driver lost control of her vehicle.
Two teenage girls were in the vehicle.
They were transported to a hospital center where the driver succumbed to her injuries.
The victim is from Sherbrooke. The passenger gets away with minor injuries according to the Sûreté du Québec.
An investigation is underway to try to understand the circumstances that caused the loss of control of the vehicle.
