Drug war in Quebec: two relatives of the Hells Angels stabbed in prison

Two members of a Hells Angels school club were allegedly stabbed in prison by young people linked to street gangs, in the wake of the drug war currently raging in the National Capital, our Bureau of Investigation has learned.

Members of the Red Devils motorcycle club, Ian Roy, 29, and Jonathan Bergeron-Gosselin, 32, were allegedly attacked with homemade picks at the Quebec detention center on October 27, according to our information.

“They were attacked in a very significant way. They were covered in blood,” explains a source.

This attack allegedly occurred in the evening, in a common area of ​​the prison establishment, barely three days after the arrival of Roy and Bergeron-Gosselin in prison.

Indeed, the duo was arrested on October 24 following a fight that occurred at the end of September in a strip bar in Lévis, during which a shot was fired.

Searches carried out on the sidelines of this affair then allowed the police to seize a loaded semi-automatic pistol as well as three Red Devils jackets, among other things.

Montreal attackers

These members of the Red Devils were allegedly beaten up by an inmate and a defendant, both in their twenties and from Montreal, according to our sources.

One of the alleged attackers is currently awaiting trial in connection with a double homicide that occurred in Longueuil. He would also face charges of kidnapping and assault causing harm, for an altercation that occurred at the end of 2022, at Rivière-des-Prairies prison, where he was then detained.

Following this attack, he was reportedly transferred to Orsainville prison in Quebec.

Related to “Pic” Turmel

According to several informants, these alleged attackers are linked to Dave “Pic” Turmel, the head of the Blood Mafia Family (BMF), known to the police as a street gang of “red” allegiance, very active in drug trafficking. on the South Shore of Quebec.

Its members would have close links with those of the Montreal gang Profits Boys, which authorities identify among the main responsible for the outbreak of armed violence in the northeast of the metropolis since 2019.

The ongoing conflict between street gangs and the Hells Angels in Quebec is believed to be the cause of several violent events in recent months. Remember that the former now refuse to pay their 10% tax to the latter.

Note that the two suspects are not currently facing any charges in connection with the attack on the two members of the Red Devils in prison.

Dave “Pic” Turmel is still on the run, the subject of an arrest warrant for drug trafficking.
