The Regional Mixed Squad (ERM) Rive-Nord specifies that the searches result from an investigation initiated in 2020 and mobilize more than 120 police officers from different units of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) and municipal police services of Laval, Deux -Mountains, Saint-Jérôme, Mirabel, Blainville and Saint-Eustache.

The police explain that the operation aims to find evidence in the homes of suspects of drug trafficking. Police hope that the fruit of Wednesday’s seizures will help them demonstrate the involvement of suspected bandits in these criminal activities.

The Regional Mixed Squad (ERM) Rive-Nord does not report any arrests as part of this police deployment, but the investigation related to the searches continues.

The mixed regional squads are partners between police services whose objective is to pool resources to better fight organized crime in all regions of Quebec.
