An anti-drug strike was carried out Wednesday morning in the Saint-Hyacinthe sector, in Montérégie.
Some 13 searches have been carried out so far and have resulted in the dismantling of a drug trafficking network, while evidence has been consolidated against suspects.
The network “operated in the region of Saint-Hyacinthe and its surroundings,” said the Sûreté du Québec in a press release.
The operation against drug trafficking was launched, after an investigation started last June with the mobilization of about fifty investigators from the Mixed Regional Squad (ERM) of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
