We deplore the drowning of a scuba diver in Le Lavandou, near the beach of Saint Clair. The alert was given around 5 p.m. this Monday. The Var firefighters have hired a team specializing in aquatic rescue and another of divers, i.e. a dozen firefighters in all.
With the help of a Navy helicopter, the lifeless body was eventually found. The circumstances of the tragedy are under investigation.
