(Saguenay) Research has found the body of the person missing since the day before in the waters of Lake Kénogami in Saguenay, Sunday afternoon.

According to preliminary reports, some wakeboarders were partying when one of them dove into the waters but never surfaced.

“Divers from the Sûreté du Québec discovered a body at the very place where the individual had been seen for the last time on Saturday evening. In the last minutes, the investigation was entrusted to a coroner. Little information will therefore be transmitted at this stage, ”announced Luc Tardif, spokesperson for the spokesperson for the Saguenay Police Department (SPS).
The officers of the Saguenay Police Department had received around 7:40 p.m. Saturday an emergency call “for a drowning” in Lake Kénogami.
Marc Simard, spokesman for the SPS, said the police and firefighters searched with boats until 1 a.m. Sunday morning.
Divers from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) were asked for reinforcements and they went to the scene of the tragedy on Sunday.
