The historic drought sweeping the world is bringing up remnants of the past like a village in Portugal or the footprints of dinosaurs in Texas.

The drought has unintended consequences and remnants of the past have appeared. In Texas (USA), dinosaur footprints are now visible. According to estimates, these footprints are 113 million years old. It was the drying up of a river bed in Texas that made these remains observable. In Europe, a ghost town is once again visible in Portugal. Grace to the evaporation of water, tourists have the opportunity to visit this historic place since August 8.

In the Meuse, shells are now visible. These explosives date from the First World War. “The shell does not cool and by dint of drying, this shell can very well take on a rhythm perhaps of detonation”describes Mr. Guy, head of the Metz demining center (Moselle). In the Elbe, these are historical stones that have come out of the waters. In the Danube, wrecks of warships are visible.
