Drôme swimmer Mathilde Cini wants to “find pleasure again”

French champion in 2018 in the 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke (in a 25m pool), best French performance in the 50m backstroke, she participated in the Rio Olympics in 2016 in the 4 x 100 meter freestyle.

After a scooter accident that took her away from the pools for a while, Mathilde Cini failed to qualify for the Tokyo 2021 Olympics.

Graduated from the Valence Triathlon, she spent 6 years with the Cercle des Nageurs de Marseille. But at the end of last year, the Marseille club told her that her results were no longer up to par and that she would no longer be part of the squad.

Mathilde Cini now wants to take stock of her career. She resumed swimming with the Aix-en-Provence club, in search of new goals.
