There are not one, but TWO pairs of Roy brothers who make wine in Quebec. And not just any wines: the captivating vintages of Clos sur-Vivant and the pleasant pinards of Mâsson-Villages.

Making wine north of the 48th parallel

Summer is short north of the 48th parallel. However, extreme climatic conditions do not prevent vines from multiplying on the shores of Lake Saint-Jean and the Saguenay Fjord. No doubt, more and more of them believe in the terroir of the North, as our colleague observed on site, who met two passionate producers.

Jason Priestley, from Beverly Hills to the Okanagan Valley

Canadian actor Jason Priestley, famous series Brandon Walsh Beverly Hills 90210, teamed up with his friend, host Terry David Mulligan, and winemaker Michal Mosny to create Q & A, a high-quality wine from British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. Last September 8, they were in Montreal and we met them (and tasted their wine!).

Wines of the week

The Loire is the longest river in France; it is also one of the largest vineyards in the country and one of the most diversified.
