dress problems, choreography not assimilated… the producer announces a “disaster”

It’s D-Day. This Saturday, December 16, 2023, the first channel is broadcasting the famous Miss France beauty contest in prime time.

A ceremony presented by Jean-Pierre Foucault live from the stage of the Zénith de Dijon. An evening during which TF1 viewers will meet the new director of the beauty contest Cindy Fabre, but also the old one.

The reason ? Sylvie Tellier will chair the jury for this election made up of 100% women. Stéfi Celma, Adriana Karembeu, Nolwenn Leroy, Nina Métayer, Estelle Mossely, and Élodie Poux will indeed help the former miss to decide between the 30 regional misses.

“The disaster” a few hours before the competition

While the competition will be broadcast very soon, our colleagues from Paris Match

were behind the scenes of the Zénith de Dijon stage to attend the rehearsals of the 30 contenders for the titles… And surprised, they noticed that everything was not going as planned.

The day before the big evening, Frédéric Gilbert, the producer of the Miss France show, confided to the magazine that a few hours before the live ceremony, everything was not in place.

“There were size problems with some weight gain between the first measurements, before the trip to Guyana last month and the arrival. For others, the costumes were too big. So, we had to recut, redo the seams… The costume people are going to go through hell tonight.”we can read.

Another concern noted by the producer: the choreography. “The girls took a slap when they arrived on set. Everything that has been done in training for ten days has turned into a disaster. So there, they are closed. There was no fun, we know. sees on camera. It’s the opposite of what we’ve experienced over the last three years.”estimated the producer… Let’s all hope that everything goes as planned on stage this evening…
