The album Dream better by Daniel Bélanger has passed the 200,000 equivalent units sold milestone. This double platinum certification comes 20 years after its launch.
Released October 16, 2001, Dream better broke the sales threshold equivalent to 200,000 units in Canada, a number that includes streaming listening (streaming), song downloads and – of course – traditional album sales.
Daniel Bélanger’s record label Audiogram confirmed the news in a statement sent on Wednesday.
Containing the successes Crazy anywhere, In a sputnik, To leave you and Say everything without saying anything, without counting the title song, Dream better won seven Félix awards at the ADISQ Gala in 2002, including Pop-Rock Album of the Year.
In interview with Press last month, Daniel Bélanger reiterated his love for this opus, which offers a mix of acoustics and electronics. “I love these songs, I love what I can do with them 20 years later. They are malleable, they are real songs. When I play a song from Dream better, people react. I love this record because people love it. “
