The images obtained TMZFriday, made the rounds of the web: Green, known for his eccentric character, physically attacks Poole after an altercation near the basket.
Skeptical that this video has been made public, the holder of four NBA championship rings nevertheless admitted that he was at fault at a press conference on Saturday.
“I’m going to take a few days off because honestly it would be hard for me to go see Jordan [Poole], he confessed, according to the NBC network. I will take my time and let him settle the file with the team.
Reigning Silver Tour champion head coach Steve Kerr revealed that the decision to keep Green out of the team was a mutual one. He did not close the door to a return of the 32-year-old athlete before the first game of the regular season, October 18, against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Green will be in his 11e season in the uniform of the team playing in San Francisco. In 685 career games, he averaged 8.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists.
