According to the first elements of the investigation, the couple together for 13 years had a very difficult separation. The climate was “wrought up” between them. The young 38-year-old mother had gone to the police station on October 19 to report tensions in her relationship. She had not wanted to file a complaint. Still according to the prosecution, on October 8 she received a slap from her husband following a discussion about their separation. On October 19, she left without her children to move in with her parents, fearing a reaction from her companion. “The gendarmes advised this mother to get in touch with the associations that support women who are in these situations”, further specifies Camille Mansioni, prosecutor at the Court of Brest.
