Strong winds mixed with blowing snow complicated travel on the roads of Greater Montreal on Thursday morning, while dozens of accidents occurred all over the territory, without however causing serious injuries.

In the morning, traffic was particularly difficult on Highway 40, in the Saint-Sulpice sector, on the north shore of Montreal.
At one point, the spans in both directions (east and west) were partially impeded due to two accidents that occurred within minutes of each other.
Around 9:15 a.m., Highway 30 East was completely closed to traffic because a truck had just jackknifed, blocking all traffic lanes.
Highway 50 was also the scene of several road exits. The scenario was the same on several provincial roads in the Laurentides and Lanaudière regions.
Accidents and road trips numbered in the dozens in the morning, but the authorities reported no serious injuries. Most collisions resulted in property damage only.
As is the case with every snowfall, the Sûreté du Québec reminded motorists of the importance of adapting their driving to road conditions.
