On your calendars! The calendar for the new Ligue 1 season was unveiled by the Professional Football League on Friday June 17. From the first day which will notably see Clermont challenge PSG on August 7, to the multiplex of the 38th and last day on June 3, our good old French championship should offer us beautiful moments of emotion. In this year of the World Cup in Qatar, this season will be marked by a long international break, from November 13 (15th day) to December 28. Another feature, a boxing day à la française will be held on January 1 and 2, 2023 on the occasion of the 17th day.

Also discover the Ligue 2 calendar, which will open on July 30. On this first day, Saint-Etienne – just relegated – will start their season against a former member of the elite, Dijon. In this calendar, the Girondins de Bordeaux club does not appear, demoted as a precautionary measure by the DNCG. If the appeal lodged by the Bordeaux leaders did not lead to the maintenance of Bordeaux, the championship would be played with 19 teams and there would therefore be a formation which would not play a match each day.
