Doug Ford reshuffles his ministerial cabinet

Ontario Premier Doug Ford is reshuffling the cards in his ministerial office. The Conservative leader met with the members of his caucus Thursday afternoon, a few hours before the summer break.

The Minister of Francophone Affairs, Caroline Mulroney, retains her position. The Minister of Education, Stephen Lecce, swaps places with Todd Smith to become Minister of Energy and Electrification.

Former Housing Minister Steve Clark, who resigned in September 2023 after the Greenbelt controversy, was named government House leader.
