“Double Turn” Podcast | Immigrant women and domestic violence

Immigrant women are over-represented in shelters for victims of domestic violence in Quebec. And more and more victims with a precarious status end up there. Have you heard them?

Our podcast Twice locked will be presented in four episodes over the coming weeks. Through the testimony of these women, Sarah R. Champagne explores the additional obstacles that discourage their exit from the cycle of violence, the considerable weight that the immigration system places on their shoulders as well as the imposing challenges that the community network must overcome who supports them.
