Forensic identification technicians attended the crime scene on Thursday.

Investigators and forensic identification technicians attended the scene. The crime scene will be analyzed, the neighborhood will be searched and there will be a search for cameras to try to better understand the drama, says agent Allaire-Morin.

So far, no suspects have been identified, she added. “All the hypotheses are currently on the table. »

Hectic sector

A neighbor in an adjoining building, Philippe-Paul Renaud, heard three gunshots in the middle of the night. He rubbed shoulders with the victims. “I wonder what could have happened, he wonders, because it’s a quiet world. »

Mr. Renaud, however, asserts that the sector is not as vulnerable. “In the evening, we often hear gunshots, spinner tanks, the police often come,” he adds.

Another resident of Mullins Street, Christine-Elizabeth Laprade, also confirmed to The Press that the sector is sometimes hectic. However, she does not feel worried, she says.

At the corner of Mullins and Charlevoix streets, two employees of Salon Purlux are worried. “We have clients who have been coming here for a long time, underlines one of them, Emilie Joly. And we have girls who leave late at night. Yesterday, for example, we had one of our beauticians who left [le salon] at 11 p.m. »

These are the 37e and 38e homicides to occur on SPVM territory in 2022.
