A 19-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman from Montreal suspected of killing a man and a woman in September have been arrested by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

The two suspects are scheduled to appear Wednesday afternoon at the Longueuil courthouse.
The double murder occurred on September 23. Shots were then fired in a commercial parking lot in the area of Lyon Street, in Longueuil. Sophie Langelier, 42, and Ahmed Kadar, 34, were found dead with gunshot wounds.
The shots were reportedly fired from a moving vehicle which left the scene before officers arrived at around 8:15 p.m.
According to our sources, these two homicides could be linked to drug trafficking.
It was the investigators of the SQ’s Crimes Against Person Investigation Service in collaboration with the major crimes investigators of the Longueuil agglomeration (SPAL) who arrested the suspects on Wednesday morning.
