The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) reports a fire that allegedly occurred in Dorval on the night of Saturday to Sunday, in which a dozen truck tractors were burned.
The police received a call to 911 around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning, for a fire that allegedly started in the backyard of a business, located at the intersection of André Avenue and Hymus Boulevard. When they arrived on the scene, the firefighters were already busy trying to control the flames.
The fire is possibly criminal in nature. Suspects were reportedly seen near the scene shortly before the blaze started.
Highway tractors are now considered total losses.
“Given the circumstances surrounding this event, the investigation into the causes and nature of the fire was transferred to the SPVM around 3:50 a.m. this morning,” said Véronique Dubuc, spokesperson for the police force.
The investigation is ongoing.
