For more than thirty years, Anne Roumanoff is one of the most popular comedians in France. With Florence Foresti, Jean-Marie Bigard and Gad Elmaleh, she is one of those who fill the halls the most, and performs shows all over France. Since last September, she has been touring throughout France and performing in four Parisian theaters with her new one-woman show called Life experience. She is also preparing her very first feature film, What are we going to do with you, mom?, autobiographical in scope. An accomplished artist who, at 58, continues to love her profession and her fans.
However, as she revealed to Jade and Éric Dussart in We’re doing TV again this Saturday, January 27, Anne Roumanoff has a lot of trouble being kind to her fans… The fifty-year-old has a hard time dealing with the selfie ordeal imposed by each of her shows, from which she cannot really deviate… As she explained on RTL, the comedian has a horror of being “to touch”and the selfies that ask for her fans are a horror for her: “After the shows, I do autographs, I go to the lobby (…) and afterwards, I take selfies (…) and I hate being touched during selfies. It’s not bad, but they pass their hand behind my back, people !” was offended.
“I don’t like being touched, that’s how it is!”
Anne Roumanoff explained the reasons for this distance she imposes on herself: the comedian is actually hypersensitiveand senses people’s illnesses and disorders when they touch it! “I feel the waves of people, psychological, physical. If I see someone sick, my arm can hurt, it goes that far! So when someone touches me, and I don’t want to, I feel, therefore I say: Don’t touch me (…) I don’t like being touched, that’s how it is. It’s not that I don’t like physical contact, I really do in certain circumstances. But that someone, who I haven’t decided, touches me… And especially when someone passes their hand on my back, behind (…) I feel very strong things. I’m not very kissy either, so I was very happy during covid“ she explained.
