On Friday May 27, former US President Donald Trump delivered a vigorous pro-gun plea to the annual NRA convention. And this, only a few days after the killing of Uvalde, which left 21 dead, including 19 children.

The NRA convention is the temple of pro-gun America. In Houston, Texas (USA), no one wants regulation of the arms trade, even after the massacre in Uvalde (Texas, USA). While several politicians have canceled their visit, Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, reaffirmed his commitment to free sales. “The existence of evil in our society is no reason to disarm law-abiding citizens. (…) The existence of evil is the reason for arming responsible citizens”he said, Friday, May 27.

Just steps away, anti-gun activists shouted their anger. “I never want to see young people my age kill in a school again”chanted a protester. In Uvalde, the investigation continues. The police have publicly admitted to having misjudged the situation. Every day, dozens of anonymous people continue to lay flowers in front of the school where 21 people, including 19 children, were killed.
