Monday, August 8, FBI investigators searched the Florida residence of Donald Trump, who allegedly took official documents when leaving the presidency. Some would even be classified as “secret defense”.
Donald Trump is, once again, in the sights of American justice. Unprecedented in the history of the country, the FBI raided the residence of the former president of the United States, in Florida, Monday, August 8. Investigators are looking for official documents that Donald Trump allegedly took away following his departure from the White House. He had to defend himself in a press release in which he says he is outraged. “This surprise search of my home is unnecessary and inappropriate,” wrote the former president.
What he is accused of is not having recorded each document he possessed at the end of his mandate in the national archives, an obligation. Already last January, he had to return fifteen boxes stored in Florida. He is also accused of willfully destroying documents in the toilets. The former president’s son cries conspiracy to make his father ineligible for the upcoming 2024 elections.
