In the Republican primaries in Iowa, the first step on the presidential road, Donald Trump won with more than 50% of the votes, a historic score. “The big night will be in November when we take back our country and, truly, we make our country great again”assured Donald Trump, candidate in the Republican primary, former president of the United States.

Indicted in four cases

He is well ahead of Ron DeSantis, second with around 21%. This is the first time that Donald Trump has submitted to the vote since his defeat in the 2020 presidential election. This victory demonstrates his growing popularity within his party, despite his indictment in four cases.

Donald Trump faces 91 charges. He is notably accused of having tried to manipulate the last elections. He uses his legal setbacks as a campaign argument, to present himself as the victim of a witch hunt.
