The marriage between the two American conservative figures is consummated. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump announced on Thursday, September 5, that if elected, he would charge billionaire Elon Musk with a “audit” of the government with a view to “reforms” in depth.

“On the advice of Elon Musk (…) I will establish a government commission to conduct a comprehensive financial and performance audit of the entire federal government, with a view to making recommendations for drastic reforms.”the former US president said before a club of economists and business circles in New York. The 78-year-old Republican businessman had already announced that he would like to see Elon Musk, head of the X network, at his side if he is re-elected on November 5.

The boss of Tesla and SpaceX reacted on his social network: “I look forward to serving America if the opportunity arises. No salary, no title, no recognition is necessary.” Since his acquisition of Twitter, which he renamed X, Elon Musk has multiplied his anti-immigration, anti-“woke” messages, the sharing of false information, and recently confirmed his full support for Donald Trump against his opponent Kamala Harris, whom the billionaire describes as “Communist”.

Developing in a disjointed speech some of the axes of what his economic program would be, he also promised to do “the United States the world capital of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies”Donald Trump, who himself holds between one and five million dollars in Ethereum cryptocurrency and sells NFTs in his image, announced at the end of August the upcoming launch of his own cryptocurrency platform, about which no information has yet been released.
