On Sunday, July 14, US presidential candidate Donald Trump arrived under heavy escort in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (United States), for the Republican convention. 36 hours after his assassination attempt, the former president wore a white bandage over his right ear on the plane taking him to Wisconsin. In an interview with the New York Post, he said: “I shouldn’t be here, I should be dead.”
50,000 people are expected at the Republican convention, which will be held in a huge sports complex decorated in the party’s colors. Entire areas of the city are fenced off and agents of the Secret Service crisscross the city. This event is one of the most secure in the country. The first moment of the convention will be the announcement, this Monday, July 15of future vice-president of Donald Trump, in case of victory.
