Donald Trump and Kamala Harris’ running mates both agreed in mid-August to participate in a debate on October 1, one month before the US presidential election.
Young Republican Senator JD Vance, Donald Trump’s right-hand man in the race for the White House, accepted an invitation from CBS on Thursday, August 15, to debate with Tim Walz. Kamala Harris’ new running mate had agreed to take part in this televised exchange the day before. The show will be recorded from New York, the channel said.
The US presidential election on November 5 was completely turned upside down by the withdrawal, three weeks ago, of Joe Biden, in favor of his vice-president Kamala Harris. The new Democratic candidate will face former Republican President Donald Trump for a debate, scheduled for September 10.
