Dominique Versini, PS candidate in the 5th district of Paris, withdraws

Dominique Versini announces this Monday on Twitter that she is withdrawing her candidacy for the legislative elections: “Given the complexity of the political context, I withdraw my candidacy for the legislative elections.”

A decision taken by the deputy mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo in charge of children’s rights while the socialist party is in the midst of negotiations with the Insoumis to try to find an agreement for the legislative elections.

Dominique Versini was a PS candidate for the legislative elections in the 5th district of Paris – straddling the 3rd and 10th arrondissements – and whose seat has been vacant since the departure in 2021 of deputy Benjamin Griveaux (LREM).

The former Secretary of State for the fight against precariousness and exclusion of Jacques Chirac and Defender of Rights, who became assistant to Anne Hidalgo in 2014, is one of the seven assistants of the former PS candidate for the presidential election to have been invested in December 2021 for the legislative elections in Paris.
