Domestic violence: Elisabeth Rioux comes out of her silence

Influencer and businesswoman Elisabeth Rioux commented for the first time on Monday on the prison sentence imposed on her ex-husband Bryan McCormick. In a message posted on Instagram, she says “continue to have nightmares”, fearing that the man will reoffend, and still says she is “scared” and “not proud” of her past with him.

Bryan McCormick was sentenced on July 6 to a six-month stay behind bars for having assaulted his ex-spouse. He had previously pleaded guilty to counts of assault, death threats and mischief.

His actions towards Elisabeth Rioux began in November 2019 and continued until the end of September 2020, including after the birth of their child in July 2020.
