Domestic violence | A woman seriously injured in Longueuil

A young woman in her twenties was hospitalized after suffering serious injuries at the hands of her spouse on Tuesday evening in Longueuil. He was arrested and released pending his appearance.


A call was made to 911 in the early evening, around 8:50 p.m., by a person outside the drama, explains Jean-Pierre Voutsinos, public relations agent for the Longueuil agglomeration police department (SPAL).

In an apartment building on rue Sacré-Coeur in Longueuil, a woman in her twenties was found seriously injured and taken to hospital. However, his life is not in danger.

The attacker, her husband, in his forties, was arrested by SPAL agents at a street corner, explains agent Voutsinos. He was met, then released with a promise to appear.
