At the opening, it is singular on the nose, with a little volatile acidity and the impression of an overly evolved wine. But what a beautiful substance in the mouth! A ripe fruit gives it a silky texture, carried by a fresh acidity, then moderate, very fine tannins, shell out on a long finish. The next day, the wine has fully opened up and offers an alluring nose of cherry and raspberry, with delicate floral and spicy notes, and lots of sparkle. The palate is still just as velvety, fine and harmonious. Decanting for an hour or two is ideal. To be enjoyed with duck breast with cherries, roast quail, wild mushrooms.
