The Montreal Police Department (SPVM) was called to the scene of a fire in Dollard-des-Ormeaux on Friday evening. The fire was brought under control and no one was injured.

Around 6 p.m. Friday, a call was made to 911 to report someone trying to set fire to the garage door of a home on Papillon Street, near Donnacona Street. The police put out the flames with the fire extinguisher from the patrol car.
The damage would not have spread inside, said agent Véronique Comtois, public relations officer for the SPVM.
The case was transferred to the arson section of the SPVM. Investigators will travel to the scene to analyze the scene and better understand the causes and circumstances of the fire.
