The 75-year-old pedestrian who was hit Tuesday morning by a snowplow in Dollard-des-Ormeaux succumbed to her injuries early in the evening.
This was reported by Raphaël Bergeron, spokesperson for the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM). “The death has been recorded and the case is still under investigation,” he said.
SPVM police officers went to Arthur Street, near Hurteau Street, around 10:45 a.m., regarding a collision between a woman and a snow removal truck. The victim was transported to a hospital while he was conscious, although he had serious injuries to his lower body.
“According to initial information obtained, the collision occurred in a common residential parking lot. The driver will be met by the police in the coming hours,” said Jeanne Drouin, spokesperson for the SPVM, at the beginning of the afternoon.
A security perimeter was set up at the scene of the accident to allow investigators to analyze the scene.
