(Montreal) A 75-year-old man was transported to a hospital in critical condition after a fire in a residence in Dollard-des-Ormeaux on Monday evening.

This was indicated by Julien Lévesque, of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), whose officers were dispatched to the scene to carry out traffic control in the residential area.
Firefighters were called to Paris Street, near Seville Street, around 5 p.m. and the fire was quickly brought under control, said Montreal Fire Department (SIM) spokeswoman Stéphanie Lorrain.
The victim was overcome by the smoke.
It was still too early Monday evening to comment on the causes of the fire, said Mme Lorraine.
