Does the freedom of some really end where that of others begins?

We are entitled to ask ourselves the question, by dint of hearing the claims of antivax every day and seeing the effects on our society.

They are well aware that living in society gives them rights and, as they think they are deprived of it, they demonstrate. It’s their right, but a right that advocates: “Me first, me first and the others, who cares. »

In fact, they are driven by individualism, Holocaust denial, paranoia, contempt for the collective, all relayed by disinformation from social networks. We are to the right of the deep right.

They therefore refuse that the other side of the coin of this life in society also imposes duties, one of the first being respect for others.

When we look at the proportion of non-vaccinated people who are in intensive care in hospital, we are completely unconscious. They participate in bringing our health services to their knees, prevent other surgeries, put their fellow human beings in danger, participate in the economic crisis, slow down the exit from the pandemic, etc.

I remember seeing one of these “repentant” patients, on his hospital bed, asking to be vaccinated. What a beautiful unconsciousness!

I also saw a woman violently against the medical past who claimed her freedom to live… Was she also claiming her freedom to die, her freedom not to be treated?

In our altruistic society, health is a right. We cannot refuse it.

But from there to thinking about certain things that you don’t even dare to imagine, there is only one step. I’m thinking about it, but I won’t take that step, because I live in society and my freedom ends where that of others begins.
