does the comedian have the right to go out to a nightclub?

Five months after the start of the Palmade affair, the name of the famous comedian is back in the news. Remember, on February 10, Pierre Palmade caused a terrible accident on a departmental road near his home in Cély-en-Brie while driving under the influence of drugs. A drama that seriously injured a man and his son but also a pregnant woman who lost her baby, all were in the oncoming car hit by the famous comedian.
Despite this, Pierre Palmade did not go through the prison box. Although a repeat offender and addicted to drugs for decades, the 54-year-old actor escaped imprisonment, in particular because the justice system considered that his state of health did not allow him to be imprisoned. Indicted for “homicide and involuntary injuries”, he was therefore placed under judicial control with the obligation of care and psychological monitoring. Thus, Pierre Palmade was admitted to the Paul Brousse hospital located in Villejuif (Val-de-Marne) a few days after the accident.

In May 2023, Pierre Palmade was transferred to CHU Pellegrin in Bordeaux in order to be closer to his relatives and in particular his mother, his request having been accepted by the courts. We also note that the conditions of his judicial review were modified on April 25 and that the comedian now has the right to be absent from the hospital with some specific terms.

Having the right to go out during the weekend, he was quick to take advantage of this privilege and was thus seen on Sunday May 7, leaving his mother’s home and walking quietly in the street to return the hospital facility. This sequence filmed by the cameras of BFMTV quickly made the buzz on the Web to the point of going viral. Thus, less than a week after its publication, this video reached 2.1 million views.

Does Pierre Palmade have the right to go out to a nightclub?
From what we know of the terms of the judicial control of Pierre Palmade, it turns out that he does not have the right to leave French territory and that he does not have the right to go to Seine-et- Marne, department where the accident took place and where his second home of Cély-en-Bière is located. Having the right to go out during the weekend, it seems that nothing indicates that it is forbidden for him to go to a nightclub.
